“Eyeing” the Cause of Heart Failure: Visible Telltale Clues
Current emphasis on medical technology has pushed the physical examination into the background. Some diagnoses, however, can be made or strongly suspected just by looking carefully at the patient. Here, we present photographs of 11 individuals in whom visible clues alone pointed to the probable cause of their heart failure. Those clues form the basis of this report—giving you, the reader, the opportunity to link them with a specific disease. Find the answers and more, beginning on page 552 of this issue.
